【レモンの苗木が枯れてきました】

先月に購入しました１メートルほどのレモンの苗木を地植えしましたが、一向に育っている気配がなく、どんどん葉が落ちてきています。一日中日が当たり、雨もかからない特等席なのですが。
病気にかかっていたり、虫にやられているわけではなさそうですが。品種は分かりません。こちらは大阪です。
どなたかアドバイスお願いいたします。
