【金糸梅が枝だけに】

金糸梅を７号の鉢植えで育てています。
５月には黄色い花が咲いてくれましたが、最近下のほうから葉がどんどん枯れて、枝先に数枚残っているのみです。
新芽も出ているのですが枯れていくスピードのほうが速いです。
水は毎日のように遣っていますし、日当たりも良いです。
肥料は４月に植え替えたときの腐葉土だけです。
街路樹の金糸梅はすごく元気なのに....。
やはり鉢植えがいけないのでしょうか。
